ATTENTION FANS OF OUR GTO PROJECT CAR

All of us at Wheel to Wheel and Wheel to Wheel Powertrain are thrilled with and even a little bit surprised by the positive response we have gotten on the GTO project car.  I hope that the few people who have seen the car in person would agree that it is actually more impressive in person.  The intention of the car was to show off the design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities of Wheel to Wheel and Wheel to Wheel Powertrain, while showcasing the Rotrex Supercharger which is still widely unheard of in the US market.  Accordingly we used it as a way to display other products which we use believe in and distribute such as Baer Brakes and Corsa Performance Exhaust.

SUPERCHARGER KIT

Our performance goal for the engine was to reach the outer limits of the largest currently available Rotrex unit.  Building a Supercharger “kit” which could be sold as an aftermarket product was secondary to building a kit that we felt was at the utmost level of refinement.  Unfortunately packaging constraints would not allow us to achieve our primary goal and keep the amount of content at a level which would make it a viable aftermarket kit.  For anyone wishing to duplicate the kit themselves, we will be selling in the next couple of months a Level 2 Rotrex kit which will include the following;

  • Rotrex Supercharger
  • Cast Aluminum SC Mounting bracket
  • Idler pulley bracket
  • Thermostat housing
  • Belt
  • Tensioner

NOTE – The end user will need to do the following

  • Upgrade the fuel system
  • Tune the ECU
  • Fabricate an air induction system
  • Fabricate the charged air system with or without an intercooler

If need Wheel to Wheel can supply the above at an additional cost.

ENGINE

Due to the number of options available, it is impossible to give an exact price for a representative 6.5l/389ci engine.  Anyone interested should contact Billy Briggs at Wheel to Wheel Powertrain with the following information for a quote;

·        Target horsepower and torque?

·        Naturally aspirated, Turbocharged or Supercharged?

·        Donor engine if any LS-1,2,6?

WHEEL FLARE PACKAGE

Our appearance goal was for the car to stop people in their tracks, because they can tell that something is different on the car and they like it, but take a second to figure out what it is that’s different.  Even though late model GTO enthusiasts can tell what is different right away, we feel very successful in accomplishing our goal ascetically.  If we had intended on selling the body work as a kit for anyone to install, we would have made the wheel flares as separate pieces.

Due to the overwhelming response to the car, we have taken a long hard look at the design and the installation process for the retail opportunity.  The assembly process especially for the rear is anything but “bolt on” requiring special tools, fixtures and skills.  The front uses new 1 piece fenders including the flare.

If you would like to have Wheel to Wheel complete installation cost will be $15996

To buy the kit in pieces, click here

Included in the package will be;

  • Lamination and installation of a RH and LH carbon fiber/epoxy front fender
  • Lamination of a fiberglass/epoxy patch panel for the rear wheels
  • Cut out excess sheet metal from the rear quarter panel area
  • Graft the patch panel into place using special bonding techniques
  • Apply and surface body filler as required to make the patch panel integration seamless
  • Surface front and rear fascias as necessary for flare integration
  • Fabricate and install new inner wheel liners front and rear
  • Apply an epoxy primer to the front fenders, rear quarter panels and fascias as needed

Package cost $15996.00 ($10,000 deposit required) 4 to 6 weeks for completion once parts are available.

NOTE – The following items are not included in the package, however they can be provided at an additional cost.

  • Final sanding of primer and paint work
  • Wheels and tires to utilize the increased track width
  • Deck lid with the spoiler removed

Thank you for the interest.
